Iccrea banking group is a group of Banche di Credito Cooperativo, partner companies implementing initiatives and industrial projects with a different viewpoint for a different system, aimed at enhancing the role of Cooperative Credit Banks in supporting families and small and medium enterprises across the territory. The founding values of Cooperative Credit Banks -mutual cooperation, localism- are industrially implemented by Iccrea Group Companies either as part of a more sophisticated strategy or in quick response to extraordinary emergency situations

 

BCC Vita response
 
Note of difference: BCC Vita is the first company in Italy to guarantee full repayment of Lehman Brothers index linked policies

 

Reimbursement of Lehman Brothers Bank’s index linked policies was carried out during the American bank’s collapse. Iccrea Banking Group, through its insurance company BCC Vita, was the first in Italy to guarantee complete reimbursement on policies underwritten by BCC family-customers, when the first signs of faltering confidence and economic crisis started to emerge.

Iccrea Group, through Iccrea Banca, supports the continuity of Cooperative Credit Banks operations for small and medium size enterprise-customers, by being the first one to activate through Savings and Loan Banks (Casse Depositi e Prestiti) medium and long term funds for SMEs, thus enabling BCCs to grant loans that in February 2010 equalled 288 million euros. To safeguard this funding as well as the ones linked to projects of enterprise internationalization and credits towards the public administration the Group – still through Iccrea Banca- has signed further agreements with SACE, to provide BCC with substantial financial resources to adequately support real economy and SMEs requirements..

 

Banca Agrileasing mortgage and leasing instalment suspension

In favour of real economy, Iccrea Banking Group, this time through Banca Agrileasing – its corporate bank- immediately adhered to the Common Notice of mortgage and leasing instalment suspension, sealed by the Italian Banking Association (ABI) and other bank-enterprise Observatory Associations. Banca Agrileasing’s initiative, among the first to be activated, has given an industrially concrete support to SMEs and favoured BCC territories, in line with the principles of the Cooperative Credit Movement, to which Iccrea Banking Group is part and parcel.

Iccrea Banking Group follows a careful asset management and asset protection policy for its clientele, apart from maximizing profits of invested capital. Aureo Gestioni, Iccrea Banking Groups asset management firm, features its services in line with this goal by providing products marked by transparency, simplicity and safety. Furthermore, to provide BCC clientele adequate consultancy, Aureo Gestione launched Investiper Scelta, an innovative platform through which BCC can back its customers’ choices – even in more sophisticated requirements- both in identifying the best funds (among more than 600) and with a close eye on offers from the best foreign asset management companies..

In this overall framework, BCC involvement in linking Credito Cooperativo production and distribution sector on the market as well as banks that supply products and services to the Group, is the pillar of the entire system of offers of all Group Companies. Therefore Iccrea Holding, the parent company, has implemented as of 2005 a BCC involvement tool called “Together we make a different Music” aimed at sharing and adding value to unique territorial features. Furthermore, the creation of trade committees and ad hoc work groups with representatives from Companies and local BCC facilitate relations with Banks, including territorial needs in the definition of concrete industrial strategies in line with the role of Credito Cooperativo to support real economy.
