Since 1963, Iccrea Banca is the Central Institute of Credito Cooperativo aimed at improving BCC-CR activities in efficiency and performance, by representing them in institutional and technical fields, acting as ACH and carrying out operational and accounting functions, financial brokerage intermediation and technical assistance and coordination in soft loan and special credit.

Iccrea Banca supports and boosts the overall acitivities of its BCC-CR clients by supporting them in payment services: it regulates domestic and international flows as Bank of Intermediation for its clients, it is direct acquirer and issuer for the “Ottomila” circuit, identifying the full line of domestic and international debt and credit cards. Iccrea Banca also backs the Banks in their External trade activities.
As “ Central Financial Institute” of the Group, it works for the benefit of its client Banks and implements state-of-the-art negotiation and funding techniques, also taking care of regulating and administrating securities and acting as Banca Depositaria e Banca Corrispondente (Custodian and Correspondent Bank).
It supports BCC-CRs in the self-evaluation of their assets and in the optimization of their risk/return through advanced ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) services.
